Zithromax
Zithromax (azithromycin) is intended for the treatment of bacteria-induced infections. This drug works by helping your body to fight off the infection faster. Sometimes antibiotics, and Zithromax too, can cause diarrhea, which can be also a sign of new infection. If you have this symptom, do not start treating it on your own – consult your health care provider beforehand. Zithromax has been reported to make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. You should avoid sun exposure or wear protective clothing if you have to stay outside for some time. Do not take more of this drug than your health care provider prescribed as otherwise an overdose is possible. If you have any of the following symptoms of an overdose make sure you consult your health care provider as soon as possible: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach discomfort. If you experience diarrhea, insomnia, mild nausea, constipation, ringing in the ears, vaginal itching, decreased sense of taste or smell, vomiting, or stomach pain you can carry on with your treatment. Unless these side effects get worse over time or change in intensity they do need to be reported to your health care provider. Such serious side effects as clay-colored stools, dark urine, yellowing of the skin, loss of appetite, stomach pain, chest pain, sore throat, nausea, red skin rash, peeling and blistering skin should be reported to your doctor as soon as possible. This is when you can stop taking the medicine and seek medical help, as taking Zithromax is obviously not working right for you.
